CCP designed and facilitated three “Media and HIV/AIDS” training workshops for 75 journalists and social-communicators in Zambezia, Nampula and Sofala. The purpose was to build journalists’ skills (investigative reporting, crafting a story, interviewing techniques, writing and editing, conducting radio debates, etc.), as well as to share accurate information on HIV/AIDS transmission patterns and preventive behaviors.
CCP supported the Social Communication Institute for Austral Africa (MISA) in the development of the “Prémio MISA-JHU/ de Jornalismo em HIV/SIDA,” recognizing the best HIV/AIDS media work in the country. In 2009 there were 11 entries; in 2010 there were 13.
