e-Toolkits (HCP Uganda Project Materials and Resources)

The Health Communication Partnership Uganda (HCP) e-toolkits contain project materials and resources designed and developed for HCP communication programs in paediatric HIV, family planning, HIV care and treatment, couple HIV counselling and testing, safe male circumcision, radio distance learning for Village Health Teams, and the National Health Hotline.

The e-toolkits contain a variety of resources including communication strategy documents, research reports, communication materials, videos and radio clips from each technical area and are available online at www.k4health.org/toolkids/hcp.

HCP prepared the e-toolkits to help ensure that the communication strategies and campaigns begun with project support will continue beyond the life of the project. As HCP Chief of Party Cheryl Lettenmaier explained, the project “wanted to share the resources it has helped the Government of Uganda and its partners to develop over the past five years so that this communication can continue after HCP ends.” This effort was greatly appreciated by the Ministry of Health. Ministry of Health Director for Health Services and Planning, Dr. Isaac Ezati, commended HCP for compiling the e-toolkits, saying, “Other projects end and take everything away with them. They should learn from HCP, which has left everything with us so we can continue the work we started. Now, it is up to us to continue.”
