The workshop was conducted from 7 to 21 April, 2008, by Dr. Larry Kincaid, Scientific Associate and Senior Advisor of the Research and Evaluation Department, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs (CCP). The participants included 14 research staff of CCRD and 7 from Medical Colleges in Vietnam.
This timely and well received workshop was designed to build the skills of researchers in the latest methods of applied research and in-depth analysis of communication interventions
In the field of communication and public health there is a shift from Information, Education, Communication (IEC) to Behavior Change Communication (BCC). BCC is the strategic use of communication to promote positive health outcomes, based on proven theories and models of behavior change.
