Photoshare is a service of Knowledge for Health (K4Health), helping non-profit organizations communicate global health and development issues through photography. By facilitating photo sharing among colleagues in international development, Photoshare has become a leading source for editorial development photography. The Photoshare collection, consisting primarily of photos taken by public health professionals in the field, contains more than 17,000 images illustrating the realities of urban and rural life in developing countries, as well as global efforts to improve and save lives. Our popular online photo database, available at www.photoshare.org through the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health/Center for Communication Programs, serves many major government institutions and international NGOs. www.photoshare.org.
HIFA2015 is a global knowledge network administered by the Global Healthcare Information Network, a non-profit organization working to improve the quality of health care in developing countries. HIFA2015 brings together more than 2600 health workers, librarians, publishers, and policymakers from 150 countries worldwide, all committed to a common goal: By 2015, every person worldwide will have access to an informed health care provider. Together we are working for a future where people are no longer dying for lack of basic healthcare knowledge. During 2009, HIFA2015 has received financial support from the British Medical Association, International Child Health Group, Network for Information and Digital Access, Royal College of Midwives, Royal College of Nursing, and World Health Organization.
