Zambia Child Immunization Levels

P:I think it is great some health indicators are improving in Zambia, but what about child immunization?

R:Zambia's immunization levels are comparatively high, but have suffered some recent reversals. For example full, 3-course DPT levels went from 77% in '92 to 86% in '96 but declined to 80% in 2001-02. Likewise measles coverage went from 77% to 87% in '96, but declined to 84% in 2001-02.

Sad to say, declines in immunization are occurring in all too many places.
