CCP Researcher Receives Prestigious Communication Award

Dr. Rajiv Rimal, Senior Research Officer at the Center for Communication Programs, has won the Outstanding Article Award, an award that is given out annually by the Health Communication division of the International Communication Association and the National Communication Association to an article or book chapter that has made a substantial impact on health communication research and scholarship. The award will be officially handed out during the annual meeting of the National Communication Association in San Francisco on November 15, 2010.

Dr. Rimal and his co-author Dr. Maria Lapinks, received this award for their article “An Explication of Social Norms” which appeared in Communication Theory in May 2005.
