Red Ribbon Question Mark HIV Testing Campaign

Tying Mass Media to Community Mobilization

A comprehensive multi-media and community mobilization campaign developed by Johns Hopkins Center For Communication Programs for the Maryland AIDS Administration.

The primary objective is to increase the number of persons-at-risk to get tested for HIV. A secondary objective is to encourage testing, counseling and treatment through support of community and faith-based outreach activities. Various CBO, FBO, and media activities incorporate the red ribbon question mark symbol as a way to stimulate interest in testing among clients and caregivers. The accompanying positive message that you can "Live Long. Live Strong." If you "Get Tested." and "Get Treatment." is meant to reduce anxiety and stigma as major barriers to testing and treatment.

Live Long. Live Strong. Get Tested. Get Treatment.
