Overview
HCP spearheaded the development of PMTCT messages and BCC materials for cooperating agencies working together on the PMTCT Initiative in Nigeria to be used in a communication campaign focused in the states of Anambra, Edo, and Kano and in the Federal Capital Territory. After a consensus-building workshop, partners incorporated agreed-upon messages in their efforts. HCP developed posters and radio spots which were used to generate demand for VCT and PMTCT services, and provider cue cards to assist in counseling for VCT and PMTCT and conducted workshops, entitled Informing Journalists on the Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS (PMTCT) in Nigeria.
