Support to the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Effort
2003-2007
HCP contributed to the RBM Consultative meeting on the Role of Informal Private Practitioners in Management of Malaria in 2004. HCP chaired one of the three working groups and contributed to summarizing the workshop recommendations. The results of the workshop were incorporated into RBM Case Management Working Group.
In addition, HCP worked with the East African Malaria Network and Roll Back Malaria to develop a prototype set of communication materials for national country malaria programs to adapt as needed. Existing country-level packages of malaria materials and tools were used as a starting point. A few key materials were developed in prototype format for distribution to country programs with clear instructions for adaptation. Materials are intended for distribution through the sub-regional networks and the RBM secretariat.
