CD-ROM For Latin American Adolescents
The Peer-to-Peer CD-ROM is an interactive Information Technology tool that guides urban and peri-urban adolescent promoters as they carry out innovative educational activities with their peers. Peer Facilitators use “experiential learning” and “constructivism” instructional approaches to cover topics such as adolescent development, sexuality, contraception, and HIV/AIDS. The CD-ROM assists adolescent promoters in developing gender equity skills, defining their value system, and critical thinking abilities to strengthen life plans among their peers.
