Management Sciences for Health /Rational Pharmaceutical Management Plus Program has received field support funds from USAID/Namibia under the United States Government Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief to strengthen the pharmaceutical management systems of the Government of the Republic of Namibia, Ministry of Health and Social Service, in support of the scale-up and expansion of the HIV/AIDS program. In pursuance of this effort, an activity was planned to review the condom distribution program and recommend a distribution system that is secure and reliable for an improved availability of condoms at end user points. This activity also complements a request by USAID for advice on the number of condoms that the country may require for FY05 and guidance or information on tools that can facilitate the process of quantifying condom needs.
