Dr. Duff Gillespie

Professor, Bloomberg School of Public Health – JHU

Dr. Duff Gillespie, directed USAID's Office of Population from 1986 to 1993, and served as the administrator in the Global Health Bureau until 2002. He is a senior scholar and professor at the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He is interested in transforming knowledge into action, especially the diffusion of innovations. He has extensive experience and skills in advancing knowledge utilization by policy makers and program administrators.
