The magazine program format includes mini-dramas, interviews, songs, case studies, and quizzes. Based on standard technical content approved by Nepal government, and with technical support from JHU/CCP-SSMP and EAP each of the 5 districts developed their own localized programs by raising local issues, interviewing district-level officials and community members, local songs and in local language, where appropriate. Indonesia
With support from the United Agency for International Development (USAID) thru CARE International Indonesia, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Center for Communication Programs (CCP) in Indonesia designed and implemented a two-month hygiene improvement program aimed at reducing diarrheal disease among communities in the tsunami affected districts of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar, Indonesia. The purpose of the program was to promote and increase awareness on hand washing with soap behaviors among internally displaced persons (IDPs), especially mothers and children in barracks and camps, were the primary target audience.
The newsletters, highlighted here, outlined and summarize the strategic communication program activities CCP and its partners have developed and implemented with IDPs over a short period of time. If you have any questions about our programs, please contact Jennifer Bowman at jbowman@jhuccp.org.
